The legend of the founder of the Eyre and Ayre families, known as Truelove (or True Love) appears in genealogies. However, there is no definitive historical evidence confirming his existence.

The family legend states that he accompanied William the Conqueror to Britain during the Norman Invasion, and fought alongside him at the Battle of Hastings (14 October 1066). When William was thrown from his horse his helmet was driven into his face, suffocating him, but Truelove was able to remove the helmet and save William's life. He suffered dearly for his bravery, sustaining an injury so severe that his entire leg had to be amputated.

After the battle William told him "thou shalt hereafter instead of Truelove be called Eyre because thou hast given me the air I breathe."

Another variation of the Truelove story states that he was called "Heyr" because he was an heir to the English throne. In this version Truelove is a grandson of King Edmund II and a second cousin of William the Conqueror.

Truelove the "Eyr" or "Heyr" was granted land in Derby as a reward for his services, together with a Coat of Arms featuring a "a human leg in Armour couped at the thigh quarterly argent and sable spurred" , in reference to the sacrifice of his limb. Some of these features may persist in one of the current Eyre Coat of Arms, which features three gold quatrefoils on a black chevron with a white background .

Another variation of the story of the origin of the Eyre Crest, is that Humphrey le Heyr of Bromham, rescued Richard Coeur de Lion, at the siege of Ascalon, at the cost of his leg, and that the leg couped was granted to him in remembrance of the occasion.

Burke's Peerage of 1937 records seven branches of landed gentry all claiming links back to Truelove. The four separate grants of arms all include a couped leg in armour as their crest as a reference to the legend

The Treason Act (Ireland) 1537 (28 Hen 8 c. 7, long title An Act of Slander) is an Act of the former Parliament of Ireland which adds several offences to the law of treason in Northern Ireland. It was repealed in the Republic of Ireland in 1962 (but was obsolete well before then).

The Act makes the following conduct treason:

* to "maliciously wish, will, or desire, by words, or writing, or by craft, imagin (sic), invent, practise, or attempt, any bodily harm to be done or committed to the King's most royal person, the Queen," or their heirs apparent;
* or by such means to deprive them of the dignity, title or name of their royal estates;
* to slanderously publish "by express writing, or words" that the Sovereign is a heretic, tyrant, schismatic, infidel or usurper of the Crown; or
* to rebelliously "detain, keep or withhold" from the Sovereign his fortresses, ships, artillery, "or other munitions or fortifications of war," for longer than six days after being commanded to surrender them to the Sovereign.

The penalty for treason was death until 1998, when it was reduced to imprisonment for life or a lesser term. During the debate on the abolition of the death penalty, the Earl of Onslow said:
“ My Lords, this is the most glorious piece of information one could possibly come across. It has been worth waiting 30 years in your Lordships' House to know that slandering the sovereign in Ireland is still a hanging offence. ”

Text

Section I of the Act reads as follows:

"...if any person or persons, after the first day of February next coming, doe maliciously wish, will, or desire, by words, or writing, or by craft, imagin, invent, practise, or attempt, any bodily harm to be done or committed to the King's most royal person, the Queen, or their heyres apparent, or to deprive them, or any of them, of the dignitie, title, or name of their royal estates, or slanderously and maliciously publish and pronounce by express writing, or words, that the King our soveraign lord should be heretick, schismatick, tyrant, infidell, or usurper of the crown, or rebelliously doth detain, keep, or withhold from our said soveraign Lord, his heyres or successors, any of his fortresses, fortilesses or holds, within this realm, or any other the King's dominions or marches, or rebelliously detain, keep, or withhold from the King's said Highness, his heyres or successors, any of his or their ships, ordinances, artillery, or other munitions of fortifications of war, and doe not humbly render and give up to our said soveraign Lord, his heyres or successors, or to such persons as shall be deputed by them, such castles, fortresses, fortilesses, holds, ships, ordnances, artillery, and other munitions and fortifications of war rebelliously kept, or detayned, within six dayes next after they shall be commanded, by our said soveregn Lord, his heyres and successors, by open proclamations under the great seale: that then every such person and persons so offending in any of the premisses, after the said first day of February, their aydors, counsaylors, consentors, and abbettors, being thereof lawfully convicted, according to the laws and customes of this realm, shall be adjudged traditours; and that every such offence in any of the premisses that shall be committed or done after the said first day of February, shall be reputed, accepted, and adjudged high treason, and the offenders therein, and their aydors, consentors, counsailors, and abbettors, being lawfully convict of any such offence as is aforesaid, shall [be liable to imprisonment for life and to such]* other penalties, as is limited and accustomed in cases of high treason."

* The words in square brackets were substituted by the Crime and Disorder Act 1998. The text originally read "...shall have and suffer such pains of death and other penalties..."

Kolbeinn the poet

Notwithstanding his opposition to bishop Guemundur, sources indicate that Kolbeinn was a devoutly religious man of some education. He is best known for composing the hymn Heyr himna smieur (English: "Hear, Heavenly Creator") on his deathbed. It is now a classic and often-sung Icelandic hymn. The song, which accompanies the text was composed by Torkell Sigurbj?rnsson, over 700 years later. The original text is presented here with modern Icelandic spelling and a rough, literal translation into English.

Heyr tú, himna smieur,
hvers er skáldie bieur.
Komi mjúk til mín
miskunnin tín.
Tví heit eg á tig,
tú hefur skaptan mig.
Eg er tr?llinn tinn,
tú ert drottinn minn.

Gue, heit eg á tig,
ae tú gr?eir mig.
Minnst tú, mildingur, mín,
mest turfum tín.
Rye tú, r?ela gramur,
ríklyndur og framur,
h?lds hverri sorg
úr hjartaborg.

G?t tú, mildingur, mín,
mest turfum tín,
helzt hverja stund
á h?lda grund.
Send tú, meyjar m?gur,
málsefnin f?gur,
?ll er hjálp af tér,
í hjarta mér.

Listen, smith of the heavens,
whom the poet asks.
May softly come unto me
your mercy.
So I call on thee,
for you have created me.
I am thy slave,
you are my Lord.

God, I call on thee
to heal me.
Remember me, mild one,
Most we need thee.
Loosen, O king of suns,
generous and great,
the grip of every sorrow
from the city of the heart.

Watch over me, mild one,
Most we need thee,
truly every moment
in the world of men.
send us, son of the virgin,
beautiful inspiration,
all help is from thee,
in my heart.
One of the most notable facts about Ingram is his planned funeral monument. In the 1380s a memorial stone and a partially incomplete inscription were prepared for him at the church of Tealing; this monument has survived, and lay in a recess in the north wall of the modern (early 19th century) church, having been moved from the earlier church one mile away. It reads as follows:

heyr lyis Ingram of kethenys prist maystir in arit ersdene of dunkeldyn made in his xxxii yhere prayis for hym yat deyit hafand lx ... [sic] ... yherys of eld in the yher of cryst M: ccc: lxxx ... [SIC] ...

Translated into modern English, this is "Here lies Ingram of Kethenys, Priest, Master in Arts, Archdeacon of Dunkeldyn, made in his thirty-second year. Pray for him that died, having (reached) sixty (blank) years of age, in the year of Christ 1380".

RuneScape has often been one of the top massive online role playing games. It is a unique game. But, with a unique game, comes unique players. Players get bored, and then try to develop cheats....autos or bots that will help them achieve success in their beloved games of Runescape 2.

RuneScape is a virtual world which is divided into two part: Members Areas and Non-Members areas. People who pay to play (p2p), receive access to the special areas. They also have access to the free areas. The members' places are much larger, offer "better" items for the gameplay of rs2, and much, much more. The character that you create when you first start playing runescape, moves around the game on foot; either by running, or walking. Players are challenged to their utmost skills by fighting new monsters, completing difficult quests, and manipulating marketing. As Runescape 2 is an RPG (Role playing game), there is no set path a person must take to play rs. They can choose what to do, and when, whether it be training their money-making skills, or fighting another player. Players usually interact with each other by chatting through public chat, or private chat.Internet Junction For Gamers, Runescape Market and More IJFG.COM IJFG.com was a runescape 2 based site. They have now, however, taken another look....

RuneScape is set in a medieval fantasy world, similar to "Guild Wars" or "EverQuest," where players control character representations of themselves. As with most MMORPG, there is no overall objective or end to the game. Players explore, form alliances, perform optional tasks, and complete quests for rewards and to build characters' skills.

Trik.com continues IJFG.com's success, but Trik.com has more to offer. With the rising popularity of commercial MMORPG games came the desire from ardent players of these games to run their own servers beside the ones run by the game's creator. Since the original server software is not usually available, the behavior of the server has to be re-engineered. This can be done by analyzing the data stream with the original server, or by disassembling and analyzing the client which is available.

Ultima Online was one of the first large MMORPGs. Due to its openness in implementation, server emulators arose very quickly, even during the beta stage of development. The destination to which the client connects was changeable by simply editing a text file. In beta stage the client-server data stream was not encrypted yet. The term server emulator became known through Ultima Online server reimplementation such as UOX, which was the pioneer. Many forks and reimplementations followed UOX, because its source code was released under the GNU General Public License relatively early. RunUO is today the most widely used UO-server emulator. After RuneScape implemented anti-cheating measures, many gamers left and started their own private servers. The best place to discuss the private server is at Trik- The Master of Private Server.
